Botanic Radio Features, August '17

It's been a busy few weeks with the release of our first compilation in late July and a flurry of activity, emails and late nights in its wake.

In radioland, co-founder Tim dropped into the excellent Wavelength on BFM 89.9 Kuala Lumpur to chat with Othniel Ting about life, the label and the what's next. Further abroad, he contributed a rare guest mix for Mexican radioshow and website MITAMINE LAB on Ibero 90.9: a meditative half-hour of strictly regional (SEA/North Asian) sounds.

Listen back to both features below:

Wavelength, BFM 89.9 Kuala Lumpur (Interview)

Mitamine Lab, Ibero 90.9 Mexico City (Guest Mix)

orangcassette

You asked, we listened. A small run of Orang's critically acclaimed debut EP Everyone are now available on cassette: remastered for the format and professionally printed by one of the last-remaining tape manufacturers in Southeast Asia.

Carefully sourced with custom on-tape lettering and Botanic J-Card.

Limited units are available for Pre-Order via our Bandcamp page. Includes free shipping within Singapore and Malaysia.

Praise for Orang:

Orang’s spectacular freshman document is at once deeply personal and deftly philosophical.

One of this year’s essential Malaysian indie records... something that might happen if you found yourself in between two stages, with The Avalanches occupying one of them and Animal Collective playing on the second one.

BOT003: similarobjects- Etheric

11/12/2016, Singapore/Manila

We're delighted to share with you our third release and our first from the Philippines: a two-track release entitled 'Etheric' from Manila-based similarobjects, introducing aquatic new depths and euphoric highs to the hard-working producer's prolific resume.

The EP is available to stream below or as a name-your-price download from our Soundcloud and Bandcamp accounts.

The level of imagination here, the places to which similarobjects promises to take us, are bold and bright, sunk below the sea and somewhere in our thoughts.
